Is BreakThru like other accelerators?

We believe we are different. The Lab will offer you access to investment, internal mentors at Travis Perkins locations around the UK and external mentors.

How many stages is the programme?

The finalists entering the Lab might have a bespoke investment offer depending on the stage that their business is at. Each team will be eligible to apply for investment from Travis Perkins and  L Marks and in exchange for a negotiable stake in their company.

What does the day to day look like at BreakThru?

Travis Perkins BreakThru is designed to help startups progress rapidly with a mutually agreed use case. To help you achieve your goals, each team is assigned a category sponsor from the Travis Perkins senior leadership. Support from the category sponsors and L Marks will help each startup navigate the business quickly and progress with their use cases. We tailor each startup’s experience based on their needs and can offer additional external education programmes and support where requested.

Will every company receive investment?

Not necessarily. Prior to the start of the programme, every team will enter into an Option Agreement with Travis Perkins and L Marks which will allow us to invest in exchange for equity.  However we will decide which startups we will invest in at the end of the programme.

How much investment will each company get?

Travis Perkins and L Marks will agree investment offers with startups within Break Thru on a case by case basis.  Typically investments would range from £50,000 to £200,000 per startup.

How will the equity stake be calculated?

There is no minimum equity requirement tied to the programme.  Each investment will be made on a case by case basis, taking a mutually agreed company valuation into account.

When will I receive investment from Travis Perkins and L Marks?

Investments will be finalised at the end of the programme after Demo Day.
